The New Leader Recognition
Latina Randall
Latina Randall, Fulton County's (GA) MRC Unit Leader, has helped to rekindle the unit's spirit in less than a year. Through forging new partnerships, rebuilding relationships, and focused community outreach, she has recruited over 50 new volunteers and expanded service opportunities to include work at food pantries and donation drives.
To ensure her volunteers are well prepared, Latina has also organized key training sessions, covering Narcan administration, opioid awareness, mental health first aid, and CPR certification. Under her leadership, the unit has established strong ties with MGS Wellness, the Emory SORT Program, and the Fulton County Board of Health Opioid Program. Additionally, she has collaborated with community partners such as Millennial Mental Health, Covenant Communities, and Family First, and has built a relationship between Fulton County schools and the MRC through HOSA MRC Mentorship events.
Latina has recognized the importance of mental health and has developed two initiatives, the Seasonal Depression Session and the Grief Counseling Session, to address the mental health needs of both the volunteers and the community they serve.
Latina's strategic and collaborative approach has set the stage for sustained community engagement, and her exceptional leadership has earned her the New MRC Leader Recognition.
