Office of Testing and Diagnostics

Center for Industrial Base Management and Supply Chain (IBMSC)

ASPR's Center for Industrial Base Management and Supply Chain's (IBMSC) Office of Testing and Diagnostics (TDx) engages with public and private sector partners to build and maintain a reliable testing ecosystem through the exchange of information on threats, system vulnerabilities, and potential resource shortfalls. TDx's engagement with industry seeks to build relationships that drive innovation and create transformative changes to public health planning and coordination.

TDx Key Activities

TDx prepares the nation's diagnostics apparatus for future threats and helps ensure the security of the nation's medical supply chain. The office has made long-term, strategic investments in national infrastructure to increase capacity, raw materials, and laboratory disposables and conducted large procurements for point-of-care and over the counter tests that support public health emergency response. TDx maintains inventories of diagnostic tests and creates distribution channels to ensure that diagnostics and medical countermeasures can be distributed when and where they are needed, within a sufficient timeframe.
