2025 MRC V.I.S.I.O.N. Awards

Bobbie MacKenzie

Bobbie MacKenzie has dedicated more than 12 years of exceptional service to the New Mexico MRC. In her role as State Coordinator, Bobbie worked tirelessly to expand the MRC volunteer registry, growing it from a mere 142 members to an impressive 6,600. Her efforts to recruit, train, and empower volunteers have dramatically strengthened the state's response capabilities during public health emergencies. Even though 2024 marked her final year as State Coordinator, Bobbie's contributions continued to shine. She played a key role in the creation of a video for the annual Baton Death March, which is available for viewing on the New Mexico Department of Health's YouTube Channel. Bobbie's leadership has also been recognized nationally and was featured in national news outlets for their outstanding work, including providing critical support to shelter evacuees during a recent wildfire evacuation. Bobbie's collaboration with the Red Cross to manage several shelters highlights her unwavering commitment to community service and emergency preparedness. While Bobbie will be deeply missed in her state coordinator role, her passion for volunteering and her leadership will continue to make an impact as the unit leader for the New Mexico State MRC unit. Her legacy of dedication and service will remain an inspiration to all who work with her.
